Meth Street Names

Meth is a highly addictive stimulant created in meth labs across the county. A meth user swallows, snorts, injects or smokes the drug. To intensify the effects of the drug, a user may take a higher dose of the drug, take the drug more frequently, or take the drug in a different way.[1] Meth has many nicknames and street names.

In this article, you will find some terms used to describe meth and drug combinations that involve meth:

  • Crank
  • Crystal
  • Ice
  • Speed
  • Getgo or Go Fast
  • Poor Man’s Coke or Redneck Cocaine
  • Trash or Garbage

There are specific terms for smoke-able meth which includes terms like Hanyak, Hironpon, Hiropon, Hot Ice, Cristy, Batu, Kaksonjae, LA Glass, LA Ice, Quartz, and Super Ice.

Meth is made in different ways with a variety of ingredients. For example, meth that is called Soap Dope has a pink tint to it. Lemon Drop is meth with a yellowish tint to it. Green meth is referred to as Holiday Meth or Christmas Tree Meth.

Drug Combinations

Most individuals who use meth regularly don’t often combine the drug with other substances. However, there are a few terms for common combinations that some use to enhance methamphetamine use and abuse.

  • Biker Coffee – Coffee and methamphetamine
  • Croak– Cocaine and methamphetamine
  • Hugs and Kisses– MDMA and methamphetamine
  • Mexican Speed Balls– Crack and methamphetamine
  • The Five Way – Methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, Rohypnol and alcohol

Terms for Use and Abuse

A number of terms describe the different ways meth is used, where it’s made and the people who use it. These include:

  • Bathtub Crank– Low-quality methamphetamine
  • Hot Rolling– Liquefying methamphetamine to inhale it using an eye dropper
  • Hot Railing– Heating methamphetamine to inhale the vapor through a tube
  • Lithium Scabs– Open sores due to methamphetamine abuse
  • Meth Monster– A person who reacts badly to methamphetamine use
  • Meth Head– Person who is addicted to methamphetamine
  • Getting Glassed– To snort methamphetamine
  • Box Labs– Small mobile labs used to produce methamphetamine
